Locanda Cipriani is located on Torcello, an island in the Venetian lagoon. ARRIVALS

While Torcello can be reached comfortably from Marco Polo airport or Venice by public water transport, we suggest private transfer for a comfortable experience. Please contact concierge locandatorcello@cipriani.com to arrange your arrival.

EXPLORING TORCELLO

Torcello offers guests a serene escape into Venice’s ancient past, featuring the 7th century Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta with its famous Byzantine mosaics and panoramic bell tower views. A short walk brings you to the Church of Santa Fosca, the Torcello Museum, the legendary Attila’s Throne and the Devil’s Bridge.

With quiet walking paths through protected wetlands, ideal for gentle hikes, photography, and moments of tranquility, the island is also a haven for bird watchers. The surrounding marshes rich in wildlife and seasonal sightings of flamingos, especially visible from the Casa Museo Andrich gardens between March and September. Visitors can further explore the environment through guided boat tours that include Torcello as part of a broader lagoon experience, some of which highlight local ecology and traditional lagoon activities.

THE RESTAURANT

Open to hotel guests and visitors to the island alike, the restaurant at Locanda Cipriani offers indoor dining in a classic Cipriani setting with lacquered mahogany interiors and pleasant outdoor dining under the pergola. Open from 7am-11pm seven days a week, reservations are open in advance online or by emailing locandatorcello@cipriani.com.
